Serre Chevalier is a huge and varied ski area and also generally has more sunshine than resorts in the Northern Alps..
Ideal option for full-time advice from instructors, who will take you to the right place at the right time.
You don't have to decide which snowsport you want to do until you arrive! Depending on your requirements (fitness level, snow coverage, objectives), we will provide you with either skis or a snowboard for your course.

Reception from 08.00, accommodation from 10.00. breakfast, accommodation, collectionof equipment and skipass valid from day one of the course.
Free introductory activity session on the first afternoon for beginners. For other levels, free afternoon - our teams will provide all necessary information to set you up for your holiday in the snow: safety advice, weather info, snow conditions, info on the runs.
In the evening, UCPA staff will provide all information on supervised sessions beginning the next day: group allocation, meeting times, highlights of the week.
If you have purchased the "arrival night before" option , please come to the centre between 18.00 and 20.00. Meal served between 19.00 and 20.00.
The programmes end on Saturday no later than 2pm.
You will have vacated your room by this time.

If you are coming by car:
From Briançon to the Grand Serre Che centre, travel 10km in the direction of the Col du Lautaret via the RN91 At the large La Salle Les Alpes roundabout on the RN91, take the left exit and follow the signs to the GSC UCPA centre.
From Grenoble, 108km passing through the Lautaret pass via the RN91. At the large La Salle Les Alpes roundabout on the RN91, take the right exit and follow the signs to the GSC UCPA centre.
If you are coming by train
Briançon SNCF train station is 10km away. Rignon shuttle buses (information on +33 (0) 4 92 21 00 56). Towards Serre Chevalier Monêtier-Les-Bains. Villeneuve stop. No regular service on Sundays in June and September. Fare: €5.
Taxi: about €25.
You will be asked for a deposit of 100 Euros (cheque or cash) when you arrive. It will be returned at the end of your stay, subject to damage to equipment and/or premises.
Centre with a European clientele (teaching in French and/or English).
23 hours of supervision from day 2 to day 6 (1 or 2 sessions per day).
Group for the week decided on the basis of your technical level, affinity and expectations.

Experience unique moments
For your safety, we advise that you wear a helmet and wrist protectors (provided by us for snowboard beginners) and knee protectors .
For snowsports: 1 anorak, 1 pair of ski pants or 1 pair of salopettes, 1 or 2 jumpers or fleeces, 1 thermal vest, 1 good pair of gloves or mittens ( snowboarding gloves or mittens preferable, as bigger and more water-tight than regular ski gloves), 1 ski hat, 1 pair of U.V filter sunglasses, 1 pair of ski goggles, 1 high factor suncream, 1 lip balm.
Please bring a padlock to secure your equipment, a drinks bottle and small rucksack for meals on the slopes.
Please bring a towel (sheets provided by UCPA).
On arrival, you choose your equipment for the duration of your stay: skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots.
