Student Trips
- from £349
If
you are willing to organize your own trip instead of going through a
tour operator, you could save your members a lot of money. Let’s see
what’s involved……….
- Check the dates and the destination – complete
the group booking form making sure not to leave gaps.
- You will be contacted with a range of options
- If you see the offer that meets your requirements
– email back and ask for a contract.
- Check the details and if you’re happy with
them, sign the contract and send it back You
may be asked for a deposit – if this is the case and you haven’t got
it, give a date when you would be confident of sending it. If you
miss this date, you’ll probably lose your booking
- You will need to set up a bank account with
a local bank if you haven’t already done so (eg Leeds Ski & Snowboard Club a/c)
- Produce an application form stating when the
deposit has to be paid
- Set up a spreadsheet to keep track of payments,
contact info etc
- Contact Mike Wigglesworth (mike@interski.co.uk)
for a price of a coach.
- For insurance, it’s probably easier to ask
individuals to find their own winter sports policy – cost about £20
for the week
Now, you’re pretty much sorted. There are just a
few more details……
- You
will need to keep your group informed about the trip and you can do
this by attaching some documents to the group email list. See the
samples provided.

Dear Ski / Snowboarder
Final letter
Itinerary
- The final payment 6 weeks before departure
has to be paid. You should be able to make a BAC transfer at your
bank
Having
your group prepared so that they know how the UCPA is organised
means that the coach journey provides an opportunity to sort out the
group into the room allocation and to explain some of the basic house
rules from the list provided (Final letter).
It’s
really quite straight forward. The benefits mean that you can keep the
cost of a fantastic holiday down to under £349 so finding the 46 people
to go shouldn’t be a problem.
