Located on the Mediterranean coast near the Spanish border, the resort is both sun and wind sure. Located on the Salses-Leucate lake which is the European Capital of Wakeboarding, Windsurfing and Kitsurfing.

Between the charming fishing port, the nature reserve, the hustle and bustle of the village and of course, the 8km of sandy beach, you can enjoy great food, lively entertainment, traditional markets and more.

This summer, we are building a brand new UCPA Port Barcarès Sports Village!!

As a replacement, we offer you accommodation at the Miléade holiday village. You will enjoy this comfortable village with many services. It is located near the beaches and shops.

Rooms (UCPA centre)

- Appartments accomodating 4 people

- Twin rooms available

- Shower and basin in appartment with shared toilets

Facilities

- Well priced bar

- Buffet style restaurant with terrace

- Sports equipment and storage all on site

- Slacklines and beach volleyball

- WiFi. Please note the WiFi is not good enough for working on data intensive activities

All UCPA meals are buffet style and with multiple servings the norm; you won't go hungry.

Breakfast is normally yogurts, cereals, fruit juice, coffee and bread - don't be surprised to see that the coffee and tea is taken in a bowl!

It is possible to return to the centre for lunch everyday where you will find 1 or 2 hot options available. As with all meals there will be a salad bar, plenty of bread, cheese, meat and of course desert. If you prefer you can make a packed lunch at breakfast time and eat on the mountain. Either way you will save a fortune avoiding the piste side restaurants.

Dinner is a 3/4 course buffet - typically a salad bar style starter, a choice of 3 hot main courses, a cheese and cold meat platter and ice cream/dessert.

Due to the cost focussed nature of UCPA and the wide range of dietary requirements, it is impossible to accommodate everyone as standard. If you have any severe dietary requirements please contact the centre two weeks before to let them know. Generally speaking vegetarians will find plenty of options, with vegan options being a little more scarce but improving year on year.

The closest airport is Perpignan.  There are no direct transfers or bus services however you may wish to take a shuttle to Place Catalogne the main Perpignan bus station. There are local buses that run from there towards Barcares. This suggestion should be used for guidance purposes only, bus timetables are subject to change and we recommend you check availability before you travel. Taxis may be available although these usually have to be booked in advance. The Perpignan Airport website offers some useful information that can help you plan your journey. The UCPA cemtre also offers shuttles from the train station (see below).

By Train

During the summer there is a TGV service from Paris to Perpignan. From the station, there are local buses that run towards Barcares. You should double check local tourist information websites, or general travel information sites (e.g. www.rome2rio.com) for more information.  UCPA do usually also organise a shuttle from Perpignan station to the UCPA centre departing at 13:30 on a Sunday and returning back at the station at around 17:30 the following Saturday (times may vary, so you'll need to double check with the centre directly and book it in advance:  portbarcares@ucpa.asso.fr
