Getting to Argentiere

By Air: Argentiere is just over an hour’s drive from Geneva airport making it extremely accessible and the perfect location for your summer holiday. Easy Jet offers a regular and reasonably priced service to Geneva from a number of UK airports.

Airport Transfers: Our transfer partner Mountain Drop Offs provides a shared transfer option directly from Geneva airport to Argentiere. They have a dedicated desk at the airport which makes them easy to find. The 8 person minibuses are extremely frequent and Mountain Drop Offs aim to have you on your way to resort within an hour, however this may vary at busy times. The shared transfer service is available for flights arriving Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays between 07:00 and 21:55 and departure flights leaving Geneva between 10:00 and 21:00. For any alternative days please contact the office. To book a transfer just add it under travel options on the booking screen. The transfer takes approximately 1.5hrs.

*Please note for shared transfers Mountain Drop offs will make every effort to wait for delayed flights, customers who are significantly delayed will be moved where possible to the next available transfer. Customers delayed beyond the last transfer may be placed on the first bus the following morning.

By Train: It is possible to reach Argentiere by train, the TER and TGV train services go to St Gervais which is 20km from Argentiere. From there you can take a local SNCF connection through to Chamonix town centre from where you can catch a train or bus to Argentiere. We generally don’t recommend train travel due to ticket prices and the lack of a direct connection.

By Car: The UCPA address is UCPA Argentiere - Chamonix, 170 Rue Charlet Straton, 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Argentiere is easily accessible by road with the Autoroute Blanche (A40) coming directly to Chamonix then onwards to Argentiere. The drive from the UK takes about 10 hours and goes through some nice scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads!

  • No matter how hard you try, when you book everything separately (especially with the Euro and price of food at the moment), you will never beat UCPA.
