Getting to Hyères

By Air: The closest airport is the Toulon-Hyères International Airport which is just 5km away from the UCPA centre. There is a regular scheduled service to the UK through Ryanair. Unfortunately there are no shared transfer options available here, but the local bus runs in the direction of Giens-La Tour Fondue and you need to jump off at stop 'La Bergerie' (pronounced La Bercheri). This costs about €2.50 and the UCPA centre is located 150m from the bus stop. Otherwise taxis are readily available to take you to the UCPA centre for roughly €18 - €25 each way depending on the time of day.

By Train: During the summer there are daily TGV (fast train) service from Paris to Hyères. The train station is approximately 7km from the UCPA centre and taxis are readily available to take you to the centre and cost about €20 - €30 depending on the time of day.

To catch the local bus, you will need line 67 which departs from outside the train station.

By Car: Hyères is easily accessible by road, the drive from the UK takes about 10 hours and goes through some nice scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads!

Drive to Toulon Hyeres then follow signs for 'Presqu'il de Giens'. When you reach a round about called Rond Point de la Bergerie, turn left and the centre is about 150m down the road on the left.

Testimonials

  • There is always a range of ages, nationalities, mixtures of solo travellers, couples, groups etc. We have booked as a group of 6, a group of 36 (no joke) and even just me and my boyfriend – it works for all.

  • No matter how hard you try, when you book everything separately (especially with the Euro and price of food at the moment), you will never beat UCPA.
