Getting to Lacanau

By Air: The closest airport to Lacanau is Bordeaux. There are no direct transfers or bus services however you may wish to take a shuttle to Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station where there are more options. Taxis may be available although these usually have to be booked in advance. The Bordeaux Airport website offers some useful information that can help you plan your Journey.

By Train: The nearest train station is Bordeaux Saint-Jean. From the station there is usually a bus available during the day time that has a stop near to the UCPA, take line 702 and ensure you get off at the "Marie Curie" stop, you may need to signal this to the driver. From the bus stop the UCPA is about a 10 minute walk. This ​suggestion should be used for guidance purposes only, bus timetables are subject to change and we recommend you check availability before you travel. By Car: The UCPA address is: 6 Chemin des Manchets, 33680 Lacanau The Lacanau centre is easily accessible by road, the drive from Calais takes about 9 hours and goes through some stunning scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads! The car park at the center is free however you may want to contact them in advance to book a space.
