Verdon Summer Activities

Climbing

The Verdon climbing scene is well established and its reputation well deserved. The dramatic and deep limestone gorge offers a wealth of rock routes for all ability levels. Although the exposure is high, the grading is relatively moderate and it acts as a prime location to work on moves on committing rock terrain but in a safe environment. The majority of routes are bolted and the belay stances and abseil bolts solid.

Canyoning

Some of the most beautiful and pristine canyons are located in and around the Verdon Regional Park. Ranging from half day routes to full day excursions, you will find yourself being abseiled into pools and sliding down waterfalls. Definitely not for those who don’t like commitment as once you are in, there is no turning back!

Multisports

If you can’t decide, or you don’t fancy a week of the same activity then the multisport weeks are designed more for those wanting a holiday and chance to relax though not too much!

Testimonials

  • The food is great and there is tons of it from breakfast, lunch, snack time (after your day on the slopes) and dinner in the evening. My favourite meal this year was on the Thursday evening when it was...

  • The food offers great variety, choice (several options each night), quantity (as much as you want) and quality is decent.  Cheese and yoghurts coming out of your ears, packed lunch option, afternoon tea and cake and you can drink your own wine at dinner.

  • The quality of the equipment is second to none and the ability to easily swap things over if they’re not quite right is so useful.
    Amelia S
  • The food provided was up to a very good standard for all meals with a soup starter available every dinner followed by two or three hot meal choices, a salad bar and a variety of tasty deserts and fruit.

  • One click and you’ve booked everything. No searching around for lessons, ski-hire etc. And the best thing is you can keep adding people to your group.
    Anna R
  • There is always a range of ages, nationalities, mixtures of solo travellers, couples, groups etc.  We have booked as a group of 6, a group of 36 (no joke) and even just me and my boyfriend – it works for all.

  • I wish I had discovered UCPA earlier.
    Oliver P
  • All UCPAs are very friendly and sociable. The bar and dining areas are open with big tables, encouraging people to sit together and get to know each other. This makes it very easy as a solo traveller.
