Airport Transfers:
We offer a shared transfer service for Saturday arrivals from both Grenoble Airport and Lyon airport through our partner company Ben's Bus. If you would like to use this service please add ‘Airport Transfer’ under travel options on the booking screen. You will be allocated a place on the correct bus depending on the flight time you provide us with.
Grenoble Airport:
The buses service all scheduled flights every day between 11th DECEMBER 2020 TO 18th APRIL 2021 (though if there are no scheduled flights, there will not be a bus service).
Ben's Bus connect with scheduled flights to and from the UK, every day of the week. Unfortunately they cannot provide a bus timetable as the flight times (and therefore bus times) vary from week to week.
They have 8 buses per Saturday pretty much running every 1.5 - 2 hours. The maximum wait time between a flight landing and our bus leaving is generally 2 hours, often much less.
For mid-week transfers, a transfer will run when there are scheduled flights coming into/out of Grenoble. Therefore, if you are not coming in or going out on a flight (e.g. if you are travelling by train) please contact the office to find out if an airport transfer would be suitable/available for you (generally it is easier to get public buses from Grenoble train station if you are coming in by train).
Transfers have an approximate time of 2 hours, however this may vary significantly depending on weather and traffic conditions. Please be aware that where disruptions are forecast, transfers to the airport may depart resort significantly earlier.
Transfer bookings are made on the assumption that the transfers will be able to run with full capacity. If the transfer company has to run their transfers with reduced capacity we will contact you to let you know your options.
Family week:
Ben’s Bus are unable to provide infant car seats and are unable to allow you to bring your own. This is because they cannot guarantee that they will fit securely into our seats.
Children between 2 years old-11 years old
Children of this age group must occupy a seat. If your child usually uses a booster seat, you would need to bring these yourselves. However, it will not be known in advance whether it will actually be required as some vehicles have 2-point lap belts (which you don't need a booster seat for) and others have 3-point seat belts (which you do need a booster seat for. Apologies for this uncertainty.
Infants under 2 years old
Infants under 2 years old may legally sit on the parents knee and so can travel for free as they will not be taking up a seat. However, you should check the expected transfer time of your journey to ensure you will be comfortable. If you decide to carry your infant on your knee, please contact Ben’s Bus directly and tell them your infants' name so they have an accurate list of passengers. French transport law prohibits parents with infants on knees sitting on the front 4 seats, the middle seat at the back and the seats in front of the emergency exits, so you will need to sit on any of their other seats.
* Ben’s bus will wait up to 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time to accommodate delays. Customers on flights delayed over 30 minutes will be moved where possible to the next available transfer.
Lyon Airport:
We offer an airport transfer service from Lyon Airport with our partner company Ben’s Bus.
Timetable for 20/21 season TBC (it is suggested that you don't book late evening/early morning flights).
Transfer bookings are made on the assumption that the transfers will be able to run with full capacity. If the transfer company has to run their transfers with reduced capacity we will contact you to let you know your options.
