By Train: The nearest train station of Val Thorens is Moutier (37km), from the station there is a fairly regular bus network and also a taxi service. The train line from Paris to Moutiers is a very easy and efficient service running through beautiful countryside although not always the cheapest option.

By Car: Val Thorens is easily accessible by road although the road leading up to the resort can become quite snowy so snow chains or winter tyres are extremely advisable. The drive from the UK takes about 10 hours and goes through some nice scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads! The Val Thorens UCPA is a large circular building situated on the road 2km from the resort centre, you will see this on arrival from the road. Limited parking is available at the UCPA centre for approximately 50 euros for the week. The UCPA address is: UCPA Val Thorens, 73440 Val Thorens.
